WHO SHOULD SEE THIS MOVIE:
[Menu]
- AS A DATE MOVIE
- Great Bet -If the wonder of Disney animation doesn't score some points with your date, the color and dramatic music will certainly set the stage for some serious back-row smooching.
- CHICK FLICK
- Great Bet -Aesthetically pleasing, intensely dramatic, and filled with memories for many a women who once sat in a theatre as a child with her mom and dad watching the first Fantasia. Steve Martin is one of the narrators in the new movie, as well as Bette Midler, both favorites with the ladies.
- GUYS MOVIE
- Maybe -A lot of frilly froo-froo flowers, cutesy forest animals, Mickey Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, the fable of Noah's Ark, and lots of classical music. Hate to be sexist, but chances are unless they're truly into seeing classic Disney at its best, they'll probably be itching to leave long before the movie's over.
- CHILDREN
- Great Bet -Wonderful film for children of all ages. The kids will especially love the baby whale that temporarily gets separated from his parents.
- TEENAGERS
- Great Bet -Superb film for teens to see, especially those interested in the arts of animation, classical music and filmmaking. A great movie for summer school teachers to take their classes to.
- GENERATION X
- Great Bet -Raised on Disney, the Gen Xers will want to see the latest Fantasia 2000, and try to remember which of the sequences are from the original film. A great one to see with the entire family.
- BABY BOOMERS
- Great Bet -Boomers will really get a kick out of the remastered classic The Sorceror's Apprentice, the IMAX sound and will appreciate the new animation technology that is apparent in the final sequence that shows the process of life, death and rejuvenation.
- MATURE AUDIENCES
- Great Bet -Amazing classical music by Shostakovich, Elgar, Beethoven and Gershwin will be a selling point to the seniors. Fantasia 2000 offers some old friends as well as some new ideas.
- INTELLECTUALS
- Great BetThe intellectuals will appreciate the information about Disney and his original vision for Fantasia as presented by Steve Martin, Bette Midler, Itzhak Perlman, James Earl Jones, Angela Lansbury, Quincy Jones and Penn & Teller.
